The Gap Town Clock Lions Club will hold a Christmas bazaar at the Gap Fire Hall on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature shopping from local vendors, free children's crafts, visits with Santa, a food truck and a sale of homemade baked goods.

More than 20 crafters and artisans will be featured, selling items such as woodcrafts, deco pots for plants, crocheted items, home decor, wreaths, florals, wooden American flags, homemade fragrances and angels made from old dishware. Home-based business vendors will also offer items for sale, including Norwex cleaning and personal care products and LuLaRoe handmade screenprint clothing.

Local small business owners who are part of the Lions Club will also set up tables. "It's a business-oriented club, and they might have their own stands, but a lot of it will be craft tables," said club president Steve Wenrich. "It is an opportunity for people to do their Christmas shopping from the crafters and artisans. It will be a fun holiday time."

In addition to snacks and refreshments that will be available at the fire house, the Tri-County Barbecue food truck will be stationed outside. Visitors will also have an opportunity to win gift baskets, and Santa Claus will be on hand and available for photos.

Proceeds from the event will help support the Lions Club's community projects, such as the Pequea Valley High School's Career Occupational Relevant Education (C.O.R.E.) Program, which teaches trades to students and promotes craftsmanship.

"This is the second time the club is hosting a bazaar. We skipped 2020 because of COVID," Wenrich said, noting that information will be provided at the event for those interested in joining the Lions Club. "The Lions Club is composed of people who come together to network and to serve the community. We are not open exclusively to businesses. We welcome everyone."
