Christmas concert to feature Irish music, dance

The Arts at Millersville University (MU) will present "Irish Christmas in America" on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster.

Celebrating its 18th year, the holiday show will bring the music, dance and stories of seasonal Irish traditions to Lancaster. Produced by Sligo fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada, the family-friendly holiday event will feature instrumental tunes on fiddle, flute, uilleann pipes, harp and bouzouki, along with Irish dancing.

The 2023 tour will feature special guest singer Caitríona Sherlock, a vocalist from Monaghan, Ireland; instrumental tunes on fiddle by Mac Diarmada; flute and uilleann pipes by Sean Gavin; harp by Gráinne Hambly; and old-style Irish dancing from Samantha Harvey.
