The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Parkesburg recently donated four books to the Free Library of Parkesburg, part of the Chester County Library System. The books are "Badger's Parting Gifts" by Susan Varley, "The Tenth Good Thing About Barney" by Judith Viorst, "Nana Upstairs, Nana Downstairs" by Tomie dePaula, and "Grandpa's Tent" by Mary Davila and Sarah Kinney Gaventa.

The books were chosen to help parents and children talk about death. The church decided to make the donation after a neighbor died, leaving behind his wife and two young children. The books are available for checkout at the Parkesburg Free Library.
