The congregation of Salem United Methodist Church in Manheim decided to give away its Christmas Eve offering in 2020. Church members chose to present the $3,170 received through the offering to Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community to help cover the organization's significantly increased expenses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mount Hope is a small retirement community with 50 residents. The orgnization seeks to provide affordable long-term care in a Christian atmosphere.
