Open Door Bible Church, 200 Nissley Drive, Middletown, will host a vacation Bible school (VBS) from Monday to Friday, June 10 to 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The program is open to all children ages 4 through 12.

The VBS theme is "The Great Jungle Journey," and activities will include Bible lessons, songs, outdoor games, indoor crafts, and snacks. Participants will travel to stations in groups and will be supervised throughout the program. On Friday evening, all family members may attend the free Grand Finale Carnival. A brief recap of what the children learned will be presented, and the event will include carnival games and a dunk tank where children and their families may enjoy dunking VBS staff members. Hot dogs, popcorn, and watermelon will be provided.

The VBS is free of charge. While preregistration is not required, parents or guardians will need to fill out a registration card on the first night that their children attend. Children will only be dismissed to their designated pickup person.

Each of the church volunteers helping with the children has completed Pennsylvania Department of Human Services clearances.

To get to the church, a detour through the Woodridge neighborhood via Woodridge Way and Woodridge Drive may be necessary due to road construction.
