Church posts "Twilight Music" concert

First Reformed Church, UCC, 40 E. Orange St., Lancaster, will host a "Twilight Music" concert on First Friday, Aug. 4, at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. The program is part of the "Organic Reflections" concert series.

Larry Hershey will play 30 minutes of music on the 1958 analog Allen organ. Selections will include "Adagio in E Major" by Frank Bridge; Maurice Durufle's "Fugue on the Theme of the Carillon of Hours at the Cathedral of Soissons"; and Healey Willan's organ prelude "At the Close of Day." Hershey will also play "Nocturne" from "Shylock" by Gabriel Faure, arranged by Virgil Fox, who played the dedicatory concert on the Allen organ in 1958.
