Church Sets First Friday Organ Concert

First Reformed Church, 40 E. Orange St., Lancaster, will present a concert, "Organic Reflections: Wonders of Creation," on First Friday, Aug. 1, at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. The 30-minute program will feature organist Larry Hershey. The concert will include "On Eagle's Wings" by Charles Callahan; "Sheep May Safely Graze" (Cantata No. 208) by Johann Sebastian Bach; and "Largo" (New World Symphony) by Antonin Dvorak, arranged for organ by Carlo Curley. Other selections will include "Toccata" (Cat Suite) by Denis Bedard, "Lotus Blossom" by Billy Strayhorn, and "Allegro Maestoso" (Water Music) by George Frideric Handel.
