St. Michael Lutheran Church, 40 E. Main St., Strasburg, will host an open house and thanksgiving event on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held as an expression of thanksgiving to the ministerium and community for the work done in the church's social hall earlier this year.

The event will include music by the Willow Valley Bells from 10:30 to 11 a.m., organ music by Kirk Garner at 11 a.m., and historic displays and church tours. Homemade cookies and cider will be served.
