Church to host craft show, train display

Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike (Route 322), Honey Brook, will present its seventh annual Polar Express event, featuring a train display and craft show, on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

The day will also include a continuous showing of the movie "The Polar Express." Free popcorn and hot chocolate will be served. There will also be a sale of food and beverages, including homemade chicken corn soup and chili. Soup can be bought by the quart to take home.

The craft show will feature more than a dozen vendors, all of whom hand make the items they sell. Crafts for sale will include original artwork, including paintings, drawings, magnets, ornaments and watercolor jewelry; mittens and scarves; wreaths for any occasion; bowl cozies; receiving blankets; stuffed animals and other baby items; jams and baked goods; chocolates; embroidered items; purses and wallets; cutting boards; and seasonal decor.

There will also be a silent auction. The prizes will be items donated by the vendors, as well as gift baskets from church members.

The centerpiece of the event will be the display of trains. The model trains are of various gauges and types, and sets will be constructed of differing materials.
