The Ten Thousand Villages Gift Shop at the Oxford Presbyterian Church, 6 Pine St., Oxford, (Room 206) will be open on First Fridays, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. The shop will also be open on Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 6 through Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The shop will also feature the books of local author Iris Gray Dowling, including her new 2021 picture book, "Open Your Eyes (Discover the Cecropia Moth)." The author will be present for a meet-and-greet and to sign her books on Nov. 5 and Dec. 3.
