Church To Host Guest Musician, Peach Fest

Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church will present "A Sermon in Song" featuring humorist Mark Cable, singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist, on Sunday, July 24, at 10:30 a.m. The program is free, but a freewill offering will be received.

Cable has been ministering full-time through music and humor since 1981. His travels take him to churches and conference centers throughout the eastern United States. Cable has released 22 CDs and has received radio airplay on Christian stations across the U.S. His latest CD is titled "Just That Good." Cable is a licensed minister of the Gospel and has served as an elder in his local church.

The "Sermon in Song" program features Scripture, songs, sharing and humor and is intended to provide a message of faith and hope that is both inspiring and engaging.

Additionally, the church will host its annual Peach Fest on Saturday, July 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. A light meal will be served and will be followed by a variety of peach desserts. Donations will be accepted to benefit Kevin and Marie Frackman's domestic adoption process.
