Church To Livestream Programs

The Rev. Steve Fritz of Wayside Presbyterian Church and Lancaster Theological Seminary intern Jim Catron will continue a five-part online series, "Finding the Holy in the Holidays." Episodes will livestream on Facebook on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and will be archived for viewing at one's convenience.

The first installment, on Nov. 2, addressed the question "What Holy Days Did Jesus Celebrate?" Upcoming programs will be "What Holy Days Do Christians Celebrate?" on Nov. 9; "How Can I Make a Great Thanksgiving Into a Holy Thursday?" on Nov. 16, with a Communion option; "What Is Advent and Holy Waiting?" on Nov. 30; and "How Can I Experience the Holy This Christmas Holiday?" on Dec. 7. Observing the need for sacred space and preparation time for family gatherings, there will be no program on Nov. 23.

Wayside Presbyterian Church, 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, will hold Christmas Eve candlelight services on Saturday, Dec. 24. A contemporary service will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a traditional service will start at 7:30 p.m. Both will include the lighting of candles during the singing of "Silent Night."
