An Advent lessons and carols service will be presented at Christ Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m. This tradition of Scripture and song tells the story of God's promises with carols and choral music in preparation for the coming of Christ at Christmas. The service's readings and music will reflect the theme of light shining in the darkness.

The performance will take place in the church's newly renovated worship space and is part of its Music on High concert series that brings free musical performances to the community.
