Church to present Apollo5 concert

Arts on the Square will present Apollo5, a five-voice vocal ensemble from London, England, in one of four concerts in its U.S. tour. The concert will take place at Market Square Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Second St., Harrisburg, on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m.

As one of three principal ensembles of the VOCES8 Foundation, Apollo5 its marking its 15th anniversary. This is the first international group to sing with the acoustics of the church's recently renovated performance venue.

Five voices - soprano, mezzo, two tenors and bass - will blend to entertain the audience across styles that include jazz, pop, classical and early sacred music. Apollo5 engages more than 20,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and the group performs regularly in the music halls of Europe. This year, Apollo5 is releasing its seventh album, and some of that music will be included in the upcoming concert.

It is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance. There will be separate prices for preferred seating, general seating and for students (ID required). Complimentary parking will be provided in the adjacent Market Square Garage. Guests should enter the church from Level One of the garage or from the Event Entrance at the iron gates on Second Street. The church is fully accessible to all.
