Church To Restart Community Breakfasts

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Florin Church of the Brethren, 815 Bruce Ave., Mount Joy, will bring back its Breakfast Bowl with a few modifications. The event is free and open to the community and will be held on the third Saturday of each month, with the first public event taking place on June 18.

Breakfast and time for fellowship will be available from 9 until 9:30 a.m. The menu has been modified but will still include eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, muffins, fruit, juices and coffee.

Promptly at 9:30 a.m., a program will begin, including singing and a devotional. Supervised children's activities will be provided while the parents are engaged in devotions.

Attendees are asked to enter through the carport and double glass doors into the fellowship hall. There is plenty of free parking.

The church held a trial run of the Breakfast Bowl on May 21, with the congregation in attendance.
