Churches plan sunrise service and breakfast

Four local United Methodist Church (UMC) congregations will host an Easter sunrise service and community breakfast on Sunday, April 20, at 7 a.m. A historic lime kiln near Safe Harbor United Methodist Church will provide the setting for this annual event; the kiln is intended to represent the empty tomb.

Speakers will include pastor Dave Ryan of Conestoga UMC, pastor Jeff Miller of Highville UMC, pastor Kevin Kresge of Marticville UMC, and pastor Dominic Tuttle of Safe Harbor UMC. Kresge will also provide musical accompaniment.

The short service will be followed by a free, hot breakfast at 7:30 a.m. in Safe Harbor Church's Carter Hall. Parking is available in the church parking lot, 3687 River Road, Conestoga.

Anyone planning to attend the outdoor service should dress for the weather.

Reservations for the breakfast are requested, but not required. To make reservations, leave a message at 717-872 6910. For more information, visit http://www.safeharborumc.org.
