Civil Air Patrol Announces Promotions, Awards

Four cadet non-commissioned officers and four cadet airmen were promoted recently by Jesse Jones Composite Squadron 304 of Civil Air Patrol. In addition, each of the squadron's 54 current members was awarded the Civil Air Patrol Crisis Service Award for his or her participation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The rank of cadet technical sergeant was awarded to Trevor Jones, East Earl, along with the Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker Certificate. He also received the Red Service Ribbon representing two years of service in Civil Air Patrol.

Cadet Staff Sgts. Mary Weinheimer of Lititz, Slater Shannon of East York, and Aaron R. Keohane of Pequea were presented their current rank and the Wright Brothers Achievement Certificate.

Newly promoted Cadet Senior Airman Jereco Acosta of Lancaster was also presented the Mary Felk Achievement Certificate. Cadet Airmen Christian Pannell of Holtwood, Benjamin Webster of Myerstown, and Landin Pryzbylkowski of Lititz received their first promotion and the Curry Award, including a voucher for their blue Air Force uniform.

Jesse Jones Composite Squadron 304, Civil Air Patrol meets weekly in the Venture Jets Hangar on Lancaster Municipal Airport, Millport Road, Lititz. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. each Monday.
