The 69th annual Civitas (Sertoma) chicken barbecue will take place on Saturday, May 21, at Long's Park, 1441 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster. Civitas Lancaster is the successor to the Lancaster Sertoma Club. Over 15,000 chicken dinners will be available for sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year's barbecue will include craft brews and more in the Civitas/Wacker Brewing Company beverage garden. Both dine-in and takeout options will be available.

The event is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased in advance at http://www.civitaslancaster.org at a discount price. Tickets will also be sold the day of the barbecue at the aforementioned website or at the park for full price. Proceeds will directly benefit the Lancaster community, Long's Park improvement projects, programs for at-risk youths, and other local nonprofits.
