The Millersville Woman's Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 222 N. George St., Millersville. The guest speaker will be Betsy Shank, founder of Acorn Acres Wildlife Rehabilitation. This organization, which is staffed entirely by volunteers, rehabilitates animals like rabbits and squirrels at its facility in Millersville and assists in releasing them back into their natural habitat.

Acorn Acres also offers educational programs featuring its ambassador animals, which are rescued and non-releasable. Shank will bring two of these ambassador animals - Snag the squirrel, and Elliot the groundhog - to the upcoming meeting.
