COBYS announces live podcast recording event

COBYS invites the public to a live recording of the podcast "2 Adoptive Mamas" on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the community room at the Lancaster Public Library, 151 N. Queen St., Lancaster. The focus of this episode, whose hosts are based in Lancaster, is the importance of community in the journey through foster care to post-adoption.

The event will feature an expert panel, including people with first-hand experience of foster care and adoption, as well as support services practitioners. They will be ready to answer questions about finding support, creating relationships, and how faith plays a role in parenting foster and adopted children. The panel will also be ready to share strategies to equip parents to build new relationships.

Whether a listener is thinking about adoption or has adopted a child, "2 Adoptive Mamas" seeks to share resources and encouragement and to help listeners navigate the day-to-day experiences of adoptive motherhood.

The event is free, but advance registration is encouraged. To register, visit http://www.cobys.org/community-matters-podcast.
