College choir to perform at LCOB

The Elizabethtown College Concert Choir will perform at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren (LCOB) on Saturday, March 25, at 7 p.m., as part of the congregation's Starlight Tea concert series.

Directed by Matthew Fritz, who also is director of traditional music at LCOB, the concert choir is the college's select, mixed voice ensemble. Consisting of students from a variety of majors, the group has traveled to Ireland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, South Africa and Brazil.

Repertoire for the concert will include the music of Rene Clausen, Jean Berger, Elaine Hagenberg, Elizabethtown College's Jim Haines and others. In keeping with the Starlight Tea tradition, tea and cookies will be served following the concert.

The free concert series is supported by patrons, and freewill offerings are received at concerts. LCOB is located at 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster. For more information, contact planning committee chair Giny Mackey at 717-201-8450.
