Come out for a Community Summer Fun Day

You're invited to Shadow Hill Stables' Community Summer Fun Day and Open House, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 12. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Shadow Hill Stables, 2362 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown.

"This is our first time hosting this event," said Kelsey Jarkowsky, one of the trainers at Shadow Hill Stables. "Shadow Hill Stables is more than just a stable. We are a community. ... Hosting an event like this was a no-brainer. We want to connect with the community beyond our barn doors and let people know what we're all about."

The event will feature vendors, food, games, facility tours and more.

"We've got an incredible lineup of vendors ready to showcase their unique products and services," Jarkowsky stated. "From handcrafted jewelry to beautiful artwork, you'll find something for everyone."

Food options will include food trucks Kay Melts, Traveling J's and Tri-County Barbecue Catering. Pony rides through an obstacle course will be offered for people of all ages, and a variety of kid-friendly activities on the farm will also be featured. "Whether you're a seasoned equestrian or just curious about these majestic creatures, our friendly staff will be there to share all we have to offer," Jarkowsky remarked. "It will be a fun summer day with plenty for everyone to enjoy."

She noted that organizers are looking for additional vendors to join the event lineup. "We are looking for vendors who sell arts, crafts, food and beyond," she stated. To sign up as a vendor, visit https://tinyurl.com/32zubutm.
