Commission To Present Lecture, Dedication Ceremony

The West Nantmeal Historical Commission has planned two events in July, including a lecture and a dedication ceremony.

A program on Native American artifacts found in West Nantmeal Township and surrounding areas will be presented by guest speaker Steve Somers on Monday, July 11, at 2 p.m. in the community room at St. Mary's of Providence Center, 227 Isabella Road, Elverson.

The event is free, but registration is suggested by calling 610-286-9722, ext. 12, or emailing westnantmealhc@gmail.com.

In addition, commission members will hold a dedication ceremony to mark the completion of a historic stone wall restoration project on Wednesday, July 20, at 10 a.m. at 2901 Creek Road, Elverson. The restoration work was completed thanks to the commission and private donations.

The public is welcome to participate in both events. For more information, visit http://www.facebook.com/WNhistcom.
