Community bands to present concert

A concert will be performed by the Lebanon Community Concert Band and the South Hanover Township Community Band on Friday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. at the South Hanover Township amphitheater, 161 Patriot Way, Hershey.

The concert will feature 60 to 70 musicians from the combined bands playing patriotic marches, Broadway medleys and traditional selections. A Kona Ice truck will be on-site.

The concert is free of charge. Audiences should bring a blanket or chair for seating on the lawn between the amphitheater and the township administration building. The venue is accessible by going through the building to the rear patio.

In the event of inclement weather, cancellation information will be posted on the "South Hanover Township Community Band" and "Lebanon Community Concert Band" Facebook pages.

Both bands are under the direction of Keith Richardson, who is also the director of bands at Lower Dauphin High School.
