2 Mark Bird Lane, Elverson, 2 p.m. Author Robert Swift will discuss the men and women, Native Americans, Colonial agents, missionaries, fur traders and others profiled in his book, "By Great Rivers: Lives on the Appalachian Frontier." The program will take place in the park's visitor center.

3200 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Featured will be home baked apple goods, a sale of apples and fall flowers, a flea market, food and children's activities. Admission is free, and the event will be held rain or shine.
