6 Pine St., Oxford, 5 to 8 p.m. The shop features products handcrafted by artisans around the world. Local author Iris Gray Dowling will also be present. The shop will also be open Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Dec. 2. Chalk Talk

Atglen Missionary Baptist Church

East Main and Dallas streets, Atglen, 7 p.m. Attendees will experience the Christmas story through chalk art by Chester County artist Thomas Herr. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow.

Dec. 3. Book and Bake Sale

Parkesburg Library

105 West St., Parkesburg, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Patrons will be able to fill a bag of books for a suggested donation. Donations of baked goods will be accepted on Friday, Dec. 2, or on Dec. 3 beginning at 9 a.m.

244 Main St., Parkesburg, 2 to 7 p.m. The event will feature shopping, crafts and food.

Dec. 3. Craft Fair

Wesley Church

1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of nonperishable food items for the Solanco Food Bank will be collected, along with mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for the Mitten Tree.

Dec. 7 and 21. Story Time

Parkesburg Library, 10 a.m. The program will be held in the Children's Room.

Dec. 16. Holiday Decorating Contest

Homeowners who would like to participate should send a message on the Parkesburg Lions Club Facebook page, and they will be given a registration number. Judges will circulate through town judging the registered homes in the community on Dec. 16. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners.
