227 Isabella Road, Elverson, 4 p.m. Seth Hinshaw, a building specialist working in the mid-Atlantic states and adjunct professor of historic preservation at Rowan University, will talk about 17th- and 18th-century doors and hardware. The community is welcome.

Moving Communities to Christ (MCC) Church

May 21. The Birds of Hopewell

Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site

2 Mark Bird Lane, Elverson, 2 p.m. The Friends of Hopewell Furnace will present a talk by Valley Forge Audubon Society's Rick Wolf, who has compiled a comprehensive list of birds at the park. There will be a short walk following the talk.

May 23. Book Chat

Honey Brook Community Library, 2 p.m. The public is welcome to join a discussion of the book "Black Food Stories, Art, and Recipes from Across the African Diaspora" by Bryant Terry. The book was chosen by Longwood Gardens as the Community Adult Read for 2023.

May 24. Medicare Seminar

Honey Brook Community Library, 6 p.m. "Beyond the Medicare Basics" will be presented by Adam Krassen, who will be available to assist people during a question-and-answer session. To register, call the library at 610-273-3303 or email jspade@ccls.org.
