July 1. Berks Strollers Hike

Morlatton Village

31 Old Philadelphia Pike, Douglassville, 9:30 a.m. The group will take part in a walking tour of the historic village, which includes the Mouns Jones House. Built by early Swedish settler Mouns Jones and his family in 1716, the house is reported to be the oldest documented dwelling in Berks County Hike leader: Fran, 484-256-7619

July 5. Freedom Celebration

High Point Baptist Chapel

200 Chapel Road, Birdsboro, 6:30 p.m. Featured will be carnival games, hayrides, food, inflatables and more. The evening will conclude with fireworks over the lake. To register, visit http://www.highpointbaptist.org/freedom-celebration.

July 8. The Gathering Club

Honey Brook Community Library

July 8. Church Yard Sale

St. James Lutheran Church

1337 Geigertown Road, Birdsboro, 8 a.m. to noon. Offered for sale will be a bike rack, small electronics, children's games, clothes, household items, outdoor items and "as seen on TV" items.

July 11. Family Baking with Ms. Therese

Honey Brook Community Library, 6 p.m. Open to children in grades one through six, the program aims to teach attendees how to use math by measuring the ingredients needed for baking. Dry ingredients will be provided to take home to use for baking. Registration is required. Call 610-273-3303 or email jspade@ccls.org to register.

July 15. Chicken Barbecue

Nantmeal Methodist Church

359 Nantmeal Road, Glenmoore, 3 to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Dinner, which will be by takeout only, will include one-half of a barbecued chicken, a baked potato, coleslaw, homemade apple sauce, a roll with butter and dessert. Reservations are recommended. Call or text 610-613-2657 to reserve a dinner. Walk-ins will be served while supplies last.

July 16. Ice Cream Social

Springton Manor Farm

860 Springton Road, Glenmoore, 2 to 5 p.m. Presented by the Friends of Springton Manor, the event will include an ice cream sundae and toppings bar, live music, children's crafts, cornhole and face painting.

July 20. Cancer Support Group

Conestoga Mennonite Church

2779 Main St., Morgantown, 7 p.m. All cancer patients and survivors are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Cheryl at csgcmc@ptd.net.
