Oct. 22 and 29. Bible Study

Parkesburg Mennonite Church

44 E. Second Ave., Parkesburg, 10 to 11 a.m. The fall Bible study will focus on Romans. The topic on Oct. 22 will be "Israel's Future Salvation." The topic on Oct. 29 will be "Spiritual Gifts."  Coffee and pastries will be provided.

Oct. 23. Free Meal

Leacock Presbyterian Church

3181 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will consist of meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, peas, dinner rolls, applesauce and desserts. For more information, call the church at 717-687-6619.

Oct. 26. Church Services

Safe Harbor Baptist Church

478 Daleville Road, Cochranville. Sunday school is held at 10 a.m. followed by Sunday services at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The service features the King James Version of the Bible and traditional hymns. A Wednesday night prayer and Bible study is offered at 7 p.m.

Oct. 26. Trunk or Treat

Penningtonville Presbyterian Church

406 Main St., Atglen, 3 to 5 p.m. Children are encouraged to attend dressed in costume as they collect candy from decorated trunks. The church trustees will also provide food items for purchase, including hot dogs, chicken fingers, french fries and beverages. Vehicle owners who would like to take part are asked to call the church office at 610-593-2173 to reserve a spot.

Oct. 27. Halloween Celebration

Parkesburg Free Library

105 West St., Parkesburg, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Open to children ages 1 to 5, the event will include a Halloween story time and craft, followed by trick-or-treating at stations set up around the library. Registration is requested. To register, visit http://www.parkesburglibrary.org, choose "Upcoming Events" and select "Halloween Story Time & Trick or Treat (Ages 1-5)."

Oct. 30. Pumpkin Patch Party 

Atglen Public Library

121 Main St., Atglen, 4:30 p.m. This program, led by Ms. Maureen, will include stories, songs and a small pumpkin for the children to decorate or take home to decorate. The program is geared to children in kindergarten through grade three, but all children and their families are welcome. Nov. 1. Designer Purse Bingo

Presented by Atglen Public Library

Octorara Primary Learning Center

87 Highland Road, Atglen. Doors will open at 5 p.m.; games will start at 6 p.m. Prizes will be new designer bags and accessories.
