Concert to feature Steel Radiance

The band Steel Radiance will perform at the Eicher Arts Center, 409 Cocalico St., in Ephrata Borough's Grater Park on Friday, Feb. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The all-female group will perform high-energy renditions of classic rock songs from the '60s, '70s and '80s, such as "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," "Takin' Care of Business," "Pride and Joy" and "Sweet Caroline."

Steel Radiance formed nine years ago. Deb Olsen, the group's drummer, said she had long wanted to play in an all-female band, and she was impressed at an open-mic night by a performance by vocalist and guitarist Gabbie Bonet. Bonet had shared the stage with performers such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Carlos Santana, and was interested in the idea of a new band.

In addition to Olsen and Bonet, Steel Radiance features two other central Pennsylvania women - vocalist Terri Brown and bass guitarist Lisa Rettew. Its performances included a show at the Eicher in February 2023.

There is a cover charge. TMD's Traveling Bar will be serve drinks, and Brewster's Bar-B-Que will sell food.
