The Arts at Millersville will present pianist Xun Pan with special guest cellist Emilio Colón in "Beethoven's Complete Works for Piano and Cello" on Wednesday, May 12, and Thursday, May 13, at 7:30 p.m. The concerts will be livestreamed for free from the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster.

The concerts will consist of Beethoven's five sonatas and three sets of variations for cello and piano, from the formative early Op. 5 sonatas composed when Beethoven was a young man to the Op. 102 sonatas penned following his hearing loss.

The event is part of the Beethoven's 250th Birthday Series. The two and a half-year concert series began in 2020, which marked the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. Throughout this series, Xun Pan, Millersville University's Tell School of Music director of keyboard studies, will perform all 32 of Beethoven's piano sonatas and, in partnership with Colón and violinist Simon Maurer, the 10 piano and violin sonatas and the five piano and cello sonatas and three variations.
