Concerts planned at new venue

LeeP Productions has announced the fifth anniversary of its program "Then Sings My Soul: Beloved Hymns & Songs Inspired by the Ministry of Billy Graham," and its new, permanent residency at The Barn at Paradise Station.

The venue is the original early 1800s Pennsylvania bank barn on the property of the Red Caboose Motel and Casey Jones' Restaurant, 312 Paradise Lane, Ronks. The barn has been transformed over the last 18 months into a venue that can accommodate weddings, corporate events, theatrical performances, concerts and more. Lighting and sound systems were designed by Stray Production Services of Lititz, and the barn has concert-quality Clair Brothers speakers, a professional lighting array and an HVAC system to keep the indoor temperature comfortable. It is also fully ADA accessible and includes an internal elevator with doors that open on all five floors. The Barn will now serve as a permanent home for LeeP Productions, which will offer original productions year-round.

On Sunday, Aug. 20, at 2 and 7 p.m., LeeP Productions will host special public performances of "Then Sings My Soul" at The Barn, where the production began on Aug. 18, 2018. The concert will feature well-known hymns and songs, including "How Great Thou Art," "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," "I'd Rather Have Jesus," "In the Garden," "His Eye Is on the Sparrow," "My Tribute," "Until Then," "Amazing Grace" and "Because He Lives." The program will also feature the premiere of a new arrangement of "It Is Well," written by area composer Tyler D. Hoover.

"Then Sings My Soul" features Ric Zimmerman, Kat Prickett and Sarah Poague, also known as the vocal trio Perfect Harmony. New Holland native Katrina King is the pianist.

LeeP Productions will also host special guest Wayne Atcheson, library historian for Billy Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, sharing personal memories and anecdotes of Graham's life and ministry.

The Aug. 20 events are pay-what-you-will, but reserved tickets are required. Tickets can be reserved by calling 717-288-7942 or visiting http://www.thensingsmysoulpa.com. A freewill offering will be accepted at the conclusion of the program, and a portion of the concert proceeds will be donated to the Billy Graham Library in memory of Graham.

The concert will run approximately two and a half hours and will include a 15-minute intermission. Concessions will be available for purchase. For an additional fee, a reception with light refreshments will be held an hour prior to each performance. Tickets for the reception can be purchased by calling the aforementioned number or visiting the previously noted website.
