Concerts slated in Honey Brook

Drew Nielands and the John Grecia Band will be featured as part of the Honey Brook Borough Concerts in the Park series on Sunday, Aug. 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Honey Brook Borough Park, 71 Pequea Ave. (Route 10), Honey Brook.

Grecia and Nielands, who hail from West Chester, are eclectic musicians who are inspired by classic rock 'n' roll, folk and soul music. The two are longtime friends and collaborators and have honed their sound over years of live performances and recordings.

In addition, the Concert in the Park featuring Sling Shot, which was canceled on July 16, has been rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 27, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sling Shot will present "Rock and Soul Revival," which will include classic rock, the rhythm and blues sounds of the 1960s and music from the 1980s.

Both concerts are free. In lieu of an admission fee, nonperishable food donations will be accepted for the Honey Brook Food Pantry. In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by 1 p.m. the day of the show. A cancellation message will be posted at http://www.honeybrookborough.net.
