The York County Recorder of Deeds Office announced a new public service to all York County homeowners as of Oct. 1. The Recorder of Deeds Office has implemented a Records Notification Service for all homeowners in York County.

The homeowner will be alerted by email when a document is recorded with his or her property ID number attached. This service can identify fraudulent activity that may have occurred without the homeowner's knowledge.

If a homeowner receives an alert, the program will guide them to another website to view the document. There is a nominal fee to print from this website.
