Melvin and Linda McGinnis of Ocean City, Md., celebrated their 60th anniversary on April 13 at a private dinner with family at the Ocean City Marlin Club. They were married on April 11, 1964, at Ranck's United Methodist Church by pastor Eugene Patrick and the bride's grandfather, the Rev. Paul O. Shettle.

They are the parents of Mel McGinnis II of Ocean City, Shane McGinnis of New Holland, Jebb McGinnis of New Holland, and Justin McGinnis of Ocean City. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The couple attends Ranck's United Methodist Church.

Melvin is retired from Salty Sons Marine, and Linda is retired from Casual Designs Furniture.
