Cover, Panchik Join Advisory Board

Two Lower Dauphin School District staff members are part of a Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) advisory board. The board is designed to advise the CSD program at Penn State Harrisburg and help to raise community awareness of speech-language pathology, audiology, and autism services.

Erin Cover, speech language therapist at Nye Elementary School, and Ann Panchik, speech language pathologist at South Hanover Elementary School, are among the 18 members of the board, which will hold its first joint meeting in the spring of 2022 and meet with faculty and students in CSD at Penn State Harrisburg.

The board was established by Russell Kirkscey, assistant professor of English and technical and professional writing; Jeffrey Beck, director of Penn State Harrisburg's School of Humanities; and three partners from Penn State's College of Medicine and Penn State Health: Dr. David Goldenberg, chair of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery; Marie Kurtz, manager of speech language pathology; and Jill McClelland, manager of audiology.
