Craft Show To Offer Something For Everyone

When you go shopping at the Manheim Holiday Craft Show, not only will you have the opportunity to pick up one-of-a-kind items, but you will also be supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Mission Outreach Team of Ruhl's United Methodist Church. The craft show will be held at the church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We have more than 30 vendors, and it's a wide variety of handcrafted items, along with direct-sales vendors," said Michelle Eakman, who is co-chairing the event with Gail Ruhl. "We have vendors selling wreaths, scarves, pillows, jewelry, home decor and more." Direct-sales representatives will include Tupperware, Mary Kay, Young Living, Norwex and Tastefully Simple.

Along with vendors, the show will feature lots of food, said Ruhl. "My husband and I make chicken corn noodle soup," she stated. "We'll also have hot dogs, baked goods and drinks. You can grab something to enjoy while you're shopping, you can eat here or you can take it to go." The soup will also be available to go by the quart.

This is the first time the show is returning since the beginning of the pandemic, Eakman noted. "We had done this for five years, but 2019 was our last one," she said. "We're excited to do it again."

Vendor entry fees and all proceeds from food sales will support the church's mission team. Ruhl explained that a group from the church takes a mission trip somewhere in the United States annually. Although this year's destination is not finalized yet, the group will be going in June of 2023.

Eakman encouraged everyone to check out the craft show, adding, "Come out and start your holiday shopping. There is plenty of free parking, and the room is easily accessible for everyone."
