Cub Scout Pack 47 Plans Sign-Up Night

Manheim's Cub Scout Pack 47 will host its fall sign-up night on Tuesday, Aug. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Scout Hall. The building is located between North Hazel and North Linden streets in Manheim, behind Baron Elementary School. The event is open to all boys in first through fifth grades and their parents or guardians.

Attendees will be able to meet some of the leaders and learn more about Cub Scouts. Leaders will be available to answer questions and assist with the sign-up process. Activities and games will be provided for the boys.

Cub Scouts is a family-focused organization that gives boys and their parents or guardians opportunities to spend time together. Badges earned through various activities provide recognition of what the boys have learned through Scouting.

During the school year, Cub Scouts in grades one through three will meet on Monday evenings. Fourth- and fifth-grade Cub Scouts will meet on Tuesday evenings. Monthly pack meetings will bring all the Scouts and their families together for an outing or an event at Scout Hall. Events this fall will include participating in the Manheim Farm Show parade, a Trunk or Treat harvest party, and two group hikes.
