Dance concert to benefit Church World Service

Internationally renowned BYU-Idaho Dance Alliance will perform on Friday, July 28, with ticket proceeds benefiting Church World Service Lancaster's efforts to help refugees, immigrants and asylum-seekers find new homes in Lancaster. The two-hour performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Millersville University's Winter Visual & Performing Arts Center, 60 W. Cottage Ave., Millersville.

The production, "Look Up," features dance in a variety of styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, foot works and world dance.

Earlier in the day, the dancers from BYU-Idaho Dance Alliance will volunteer at Church World Service, helping people in need.

BYU-Idaho Dance Alliance is a group of dancers who have volunteered their time and talents in preparation for this year's tour of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Previous tours have visited over 40 countries. Most of the performers have studied dance their whole lives, and some have come from as far as away as Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong.
