D'Angelo, Bridgeman Recognized

Adam D'Angelo and Alaina Bridgeman have been selected as the Seniors of the Month for September at Manheim Central High School. The Manheim Women's Club sponsors the Girls of the Month, and the Rotary Club of Manheim sponsors the Boys of the Month. The honorees are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character, and involvement within the school and community.

Adam, 17, is the son of Michael and Paula D'Angelo of Mount Joy. He serves as co-president of the Inclusion and Diversity Club, secretary for the Class of 2023 and a member of the National Honor Society and Amnesty International. As a member of the Interact Club, Adam has served his community through numerous hours of volunteer service starting in his freshman year. He plans to attend college to study political science with the goal of attending law school.

Alaina, 17, is the daughter of Jon and Katrina Bridgeman of Manheim. She is the treasurer of the Inclusion and Diversity Club and the treasurer and secretary of Speech and Debate, as well as a member of National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and Amnesty International. She has been a member of the tennis team for three years and has participated in Science Olympiad. Alaina won the Robert Morris History Award in May and first place in an event at the Pennsylvania Regional Science Competition in March. Alaina has been active in her community by helping to maintain a giveaway garden over the summer for people in the community; the garden promotes healthy eating for free. Alaina plans to attend college to study psychology with a focus on research.
