DAWGS Club To Begin Meeting

The DAWGS (Dynamic And Wiggly God Seekers) Kids and Youth Club at Geyers United Methodist Church, 1605 S. Geyers Church Road, Middletown, will begin meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 15. The group meets most Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is open to everyone from 3-year-olds through teens.

The Little DAWGS is for 3-year-olds through first-graders and meets under the direction of Jan Aichner. The Big DAWGS includes youths in second grade and up; Kathy Menear and Karen Wise are the leaders for this group.

For teens wishing to move up from Big DAWGS, there will be a Teen DAWGS option this year. Youths may decide when and if they want to move on to this next level. Teen DAWGS will be led by Harry Bauder.

Club activities include Bible stories, games, crafts, science, adventures in the kitchen, and themed parties. The year will begin with an "Outer Space" theme, and participants will explore the teachings of Jesus.

Preregistration is not required, although it is requested that parents fill out a registration form on the first night that their child attends. Masks should be worn inside the church building, but children will have breaks for outside fun on the playground and in the gaga ball pit, as well as at the end of the night during snack time.

For more information, contact Karen Wise at 717-919-4319 or karenkathy@comcast.net or view the church's Facebook page.
