Discussion Programs Posted

Upcoming programs in the Exploring Growing Together discussion series have been announced. The programs will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market St., in Room 103 on the lower level. Attendees are welcome to bring lunch to enjoy during the discussions.

On Sept. 1 and 8, Betsy Green will lead a discussion of the book "Milton Hershey: More Than Chocolate" by Janet and Geoff Benge from the Heroes of History series. Contact Betsy at bgreenacres@icloud.com with questions about the book.

On Sept. 15 and 22, attendees will watch the movie "Life of Pi" and participate in a discussion led by Shanna Boley. "Life of Pi" is a story about shipwrecked passengers in a lifeboat who struggle to survive through seemingly insurmountable odds. Attendees do not need to have read the book of the same name.

The PBS documentary "Orphan Train" will be shown on Sept. 29 to supplement the discussions that took place in August. Viewers will hear stories of some of the children who were part of an event in history and how they were impacted.

The forum learning series aims to offer a safe learning environment in which to discuss and explore diverse topics and beliefs. Contact Linda at 717-626-0745 or raven303@ptd.net for more information.
