A hand-lettered coir doormat workshop will be presented on Thursday, March 16, at 5:30 p.m. at the Firehouse Library Flat, 117 S. Market St., Apt. 201, Elizabethtown. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m., and the class will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded to select participants.

Attendees will personalize and paint an 18-by-30-inch coir doormat. The class will cover basic painting techniques. The design of the doormat will feature a four-leaf clover, and it will read "Welcome." Each doormat will be personalized with "Est." and a special year in the lower right hand corner. Appetizers and refreshments will be served and enjoyed throughout the creative process.

The class will be led by Cecile Madonna, owner of Lola Love Letter, a hand lettering artist with a background in graphic design. The host will be Carissa Ressler, studio director and licensed massage therapist at Kairos Massage & Skincare. Appetizers and refreshments will be served by Justin Drescher of Furnace Hill BBQ.
