DVGRR Receives Grant

Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue (DVGRR) will receive a $3,000 grant as the runner-up recipient of Freshpet's annual Fresh Start program for the Northeast region. The rescue organization gets the majority of the dogs it rescues from local farm breeders/puppy mills, and these dogs often are in need of medical attention. The grant dollars will go toward fostering good health and the start of a new, happy life for these dogs.

DVGRR was one of hundreds of shelters nominated for a Fresh Start grant. Winners were chosen by online votes, which means supporters in the local area helped DVGRR win its grant.

This year, Fresh Start is awarding $12,000 grants to shelters across five regions in the U.S. and will recognize two runner-up organizations in each region with $3,000 each. One shelter from each region will also be awarded with a $3,000 Wunderdog grant.
