DVGRR slates author visit

Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue (DVGRR) will host author David Rosenfelt on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at DVGRR's facility, 60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds. Rosenfelt will discuss his current and upcoming novels.

Rosenfelt is the author of the Andy Carpenter series of legal thrillers featuring a dog-loving attorney and his faithful golden retriever. The pair faces an uphill battle solving mysteries and putting murderers behind bars.

The event is open to the public. The fee includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and refreshments. Doors will open at 2 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 3 p.m. To register, visit https://dvgrr.org/shop/david-rosenfelt-event-registration/ or call 717-484-4799.

This event is also a fundraiser for DVGRR and will feature a silent auction, including vintage and modern artwork, jewelry, and collectibles. The event will also include giveaway drawings for several baskets, and five free giveaway drawing tickets will be given to anyone who donates an item of a minimum value from the DVGRR wish list. Rosenfelt, the former president of marketing for Tri-Star Pictures, has written more than 30 novels and three TV movies. He shares his life with his wife and children as well as more than two dozen dogs. He is an Edgar Award-nominated and Shamus Award-winning author. In 1995, Rosenfelt and his wife started the Tara Foundation in honor of Rosenfelt's golden retriever Tara. Since its founding, the Tara Foundation has rescued nearly 4,000 dogs and found them all homes.

Guests are welcome to bring their own copies of Rosenfelt's books for him to sign. No books will be available for purchase at this event.
