E-town Evolution will feature music, vendors and more

"This is our third annual E-town Evolution event," said Carrington Creasy, who owns Cider Press Market in Elizabethtown and is organizing the community event with Kirstie Williams. "Each year, we like to try to help a local cause and encourage everyone to join in on the fun and support our community."

This year's E-town Evolution will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Elizabethtown Fairgrounds, 900 E. High St. It will feature music, food, games, shopping and a silent auction.

Proceeds will benefit an Elizabethtown family that is dealing with a Stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis. "Between chemotherapy treatments, surgeries, bloodwork, home health care needs, etc., medical bills have been piling up," Creasy explained. "We wanted to step in to do what we can to assist with the financial burden of this situation."

The first 200 adult guests who attend the event will receive a free E-town Evolution shopping tote. Live music from Grant Bryan will be featured from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wake Up John will perform from 1:45 to 4:45 p.m.

"A fall photo op will be set up for guests to snap photos of family and friends," Creasy said, adding, "and be sure to tag the event in any photos you post to social media." Children's activities will include a bean bag toss game with prizes, face painting by a local artist and a fall craft.

Silent auction registration and bidding will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. in the Memorial Hall building. Donations from local businesses and residents will be featured, including items from White Family Dental, Realtor Tony Zook, WMH Design, EVO 206 Coffee Co., KLENck Fine Art and Cider Press Market.

A variety of food trucks will be on-site, including Good Eats Catering, Brotherly Love Scratch Kitchen, Dutch Country Hand-Rolled Soft Pretzels, Kona Ice and Crazy Goat Coffee Company.

A full list of vendors may be found on the event's Facebook page by searching for "E-town Evolution Fall 2023." Vendor applications will be accepted until Sunday, Sept. 10. "We want to try to accommodate as many as we can," Creasy remarked. "The more vendors we have, the more money we can donate." She noted that the event is not accepting any more vendors for the following categories: baked goods, candles, jewelry and bath and body products. To apply to be a vendor, message Cider Press Market on Facebook, direct message @e.townevolution on Instagram or email etownevolution@gmail.com.
