EASD Selects New Student Advisory Council

The Elizabethtown Area School District has announced the continuation of the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council for the 2025-26 school year. Led by superintendent of schools Karen Nell, the council provides students with an opportunity to share their voices and perspectives directly with district leadership.

The council includes students from both Elizabethtown Area Middle School and Elizabethtown Area High School. The council will meet with Nell three or four times throughout the school year, engaging in open dialogue and offering ideas and feedback on student experiences, district initiatives, and ways to strengthen the school community.

The council members for grade six have not yet been decided. This year's other members are Brayden Beachler, Daniela Garcia Perez, and Kiersten Kwiatkowski for grade seven; Nyomi Clemente, Ryker Caruso, and Lydia Yearsley-Hoehn for grade eight; Holden Brenner, Oliver Dahal, and Isabella Spigelmeyer for grade nine; Keira Deeds, LaMya Delmoral, Alexander Rodriguez Hernandez, and Prince Wratto for grade 10; Joshua Garber, Catherine La, and Kailani Silva for grade 11; and Avery Grosh, Lex Hershock, and Gracie Weber for grade 12. The student representatives on the district's school board are Anika Walsh, grade 12, and Maggie Leaman, grade 11.
