The Elizabethtown Area School District (EASD) announced that kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year will open on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024. Interested families are invited to register their eligible children who will have attained the chronological age of 5 years prior to Sept. 1, 2024.

To register a child for kindergarten, visit http://www.etownschools.org and look for "Student Enrollment, Registration, Records, and Withdraws" under "Departments" or contact the Student Enrollment Office at 717-361-4893. Those registering children should ensure that all required documentation, such as proof of residence, birth certificates, and immunization records, is submitted accurately and promptly.

EASD encourages families to register early to help the district better plan for the upcoming school year, allocate resources effectively, and ensure a smooth transition for incoming kindergarten students. Additionally, early registration aids the district in coordinating its screening program for fully enrolled kindergarten students, which typically occurs in the spring and summer months. Kindergarten-age students shall be admitted to school up to and including the first two weeks of the annual school term.
