Education foundation posts Golf Classic

The Warwick Education Foundation will hold its annual Golf Classic on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Fairview Golf Course, 2399 Quentin Road, Lebanon. The scramble-format tournament will have a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Players may enjoy a light lunch beginning at noon before they hit the course. All players will receive multiple gifts and may participate in a giveaway drawing for gift cards and certificates. An additional giveaway drawing for large prizes will be held, and on-course games will include the return of golf poker. In golf poker, players can win cards by hitting the green for par-3 holes. The player with the best five-card hand wins a prize.

Mark Poliski chairs the 2023 Golf Classic, and the event sponsors are Shultz Transportation Company and Groff Inc. School Bus Contractor.

Proceeds from the Golf Classic help Warwick students and teachers beyond what the school district can provide. Funds from the Golf Classic and other fundraising events allow the Warwick Education Foundation to contribute more than $250,000 a year to provide innovative teaching grants, purchase the latest technology and science tools, and bring outside experts to Warwick schools to share their experiences.

Golfers and sponsors may register for the Golf Classic at http://www.warwickef.org/golf. Golfer spots are first-come, first-served.
