Education foundation to present Golf Classic

The Warwick Education Foundation will hold its annual Golf Classic on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Fairview Golf Course, 2399 Quentin Road, Lebanon. Registration and a light lunch will begin at noon, followed by the scramble-format tournament at 1 p.m.

All players will receive multiple gifts and can participate in a drawing for gift cards and certificates. An additional drawing for large prizes will be held.

On-course games will include a putting contest and golf poker, where players can earn cards by hitting the par-3 hole greens. The player with the best five-card hand will win a prize.

Mark Poliski chairs the 2024 Golf Classic, and event sponsors are Shultz Transportation Company and Groff School Bus Contractors.

Proceeds from the Golf Classic help Warwick students and teachers beyond what the school district can budget. Funds from the Golf Classic and other fundraising events allow the Warwick Education Foundation to contribute more than $250,000 a year to provide innovative teaching grants, purchase the latest technology and science tools and bring outside experts to Warwick schools to share their experiences.
